The Cider Mill caters brilliantly for people with mobility issues

The Cider Mill is perfect for families and caters brilliantly for people with mobility issues. It is level access throughout (a small step at the front door and back French doors) with ensuite bathrooms in each of the 3 double rooms (there are baths and showers in At least 2 of the rooms). Bed linen is very good quality and the beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and has a huge dining table. The garden is gorgeous and there is plenty of parking. Monnington on Wye is so beautiful and quiet (apart from bird song). Would highly recommend.

This was pure heaven! Both house and garden were superb!

This is the cleanest house we’ve ever rented and everything was of excellent quality and taste.
The house is in an excellent position both for local walk with the dog and elderly relatives, or longer walks on our own, as well as visiting the local area like Hereford Cathedral or the Weir Gardens. Everyone agreed it was an excellent choice.

A little Oasis

From placing the initial booking, communication from the owner Anna was amazing , every question is answered and “The Cider Mill app” to add to your phone is the perfect way to have all the information you need both about the cottage and the local area, including places to visit and eat out, all to hand and is brilliant!  There simply wasn’t enough time to do all that we wanted . so we will without doubt be returning. Many Thanks !

The best holiday rental I have ever experienced

Two friends and I spent a very happy three days at the Cider Mill in early October. The garden was so beautiful and peaceful and we loved sitting out in the sun. The house itself is comfortable and beautifully decorated. It has everything you could possibly need and is really generously stocked. It is probably the best holiday rental I have ever experienced. Anna is really quick and responsive to any queries and sends lots of helpful advice about the area.

Lovely accommodation surrounded by tranquil, rose- filled garden

The Cider Mill was a real find as a venue suitable for my elderly parents with limited mobility, but also offering great walks for me and my dog. Spacious and tastefully decorated , thoughtfully equipped, great location but best of all, surrounded by a lovely garden where we could simply sit and enjoy the tranquility, amongst the roses.

Quintessential English Country Garden close to the River Wye

We really enjoyed our Easter weekend staying at the Cider Milll. We chose the property based on the three main factors; the open bright open living space, enclosed garden (2 dogs) and location (easy to drive around but also walks from the front door) we were not disappointed. A really quaint, peaceful (amazing bird song each morning!), well equipped, and nicely designed place to stay. The recommendations for local walks and options for eating out were great!

Good character property in a quiet, peaceful setting. Very well positioned for Hay on Wye and Hereford , being midway between the two. High quality interior. All ensuite accommodation with quality fittings. Spacious layout of kitchen/dining/lounge area. Plenty of outside space including well maintained cottage garden. Plenty of parking space. Very comfortable beds, and pillows and gorgeous bed linen. Very comfortable settees in the lounge area. Well insulated – cosily warm on cold days. Great feature is the very spacious porch for hanging coats, removing boots, etc

We stayed here with our children and their partners and our dog. We had a fantastic time and will be going back soon we hope. Plenty of parking and facilities. The house is very well stocked and was beautifully cleaned on our arrival. The gardens are well kept, the gardener clearly is doing a great job too. Communication with the owner is very good and load of info is available for local and days out.
